Celem badania była analiza środowiska zamieszkania (wieś versus miasto) jako moderatora zakresu oraz mechanizmów międzypokoleniowej transmisji (związku) przywiązania pomiędzy matkami i ich nastoletnimi dziećmi za pośrednictwem zachowań związanych z ich wrażliwością rodzicielską (tj. kontrolą psychologiczną i ciepłem wskazywanym przez akceptację-odrzucenie). This paper applies aspects of Bourdieu’s conceptual toolkit related to capital, and analyses inter- and intra-generational relations of influence. Applying Bourdieu’s concepts to examples of case studies from a children’s parliament in Finland, and with reference to an adult resident forum, moments of continuity and disruption in the relatively stable patterns of distinction between children and adults emerge. Children in school councils (at times) are labourers for agendas set by teachers, but the children at the top of the structure’s hierarchy can benefit from cultural capital and a functional capital that enables them to set agendas and direct the work of others. The objective of this study are (a) to explore the factors, which facilitate or inhibit women’s responses to intimate partner violence (IPV) and their ability to leave a violent relationship; (b) to identify patterns of behavior in abused women based on their perception of the violence and the actions they take to find help or a solution to the problems derived from IPV. This study tries to identify the main factors determining the quality in grandparent/ grandchild relationships from the perspective of grandchildren. Three hundred and sixty one Spanish young adults responded to questions concerning the quality of their relationship with the "preferred" or "most close" grandparent. The objective of this study is to describe the relationships between grandchildren and their favourite grandparents, by studying the socialization styles used by latter and the shared activities undertaken. The participants were 360 children between 10 and 12 years old, who completed the grandparent-grandchild relationship questionnaire of Rico, Serra and Viguer (2001) and the socialization questionnaire of Rey and Ruiz (1990).
